Ambassador in Action
In this session, Grit will take the audience back to the feeling she had leaving her first One Young World summit: inspired, energised, and hungry to do more, but unsure how to channel it. Drawing on her journey from corporate intern to pan-European political organiser, published researcher and near Co-President of a 40,000-member political movement, she will make the case that impact rarely comes from one single lane. You are more powerful than you think, your power lives in more places than you realise, and the only thing standing between you and using it is the courage to start. Part honest confession, part practical framework, part call to arms, this is the speech she wishes someone had given her leaving her first One Young World summit.

One Young World Ambassador
Grit Zwingenberger is a pan-European political organiser, behavioural psychologist, sustainability strategist and One Young World Ambassador who has driven change across corporate boardrooms, academic research, activism and politics. Selected as a Deloitte delegate to One Young World in 2022, she turned that experience into action: founding a youth leadership council spanning Deloitte Europe and the Middle East, conducting behavioural science research at the University of Cambridge, co-authoring a study published in Nature Climate Change, and leading global sustainability communications for a multinational corporation with more than 200,000 employees. In 2025, she expanded into politics. Within fifteen months of joining Volt Europa, a pan-European political party operating across more than 30 countries, she built the party’s coordinated political action infrastructure, mobilising teams and elected officials across the continent to advance policy and measures on menstrual health, participatory democracy and environmental protection in cities across Europe. She ran to lead Volt Europa as Co-President, received the most votes for the position, and narrowly missed out due to a nationality-pairing rule. Her political work continues. In Cape Town, she’ll share what she wishes someone had told her when she left her first OYW Summit — and what it takes to turn a moment of inspiration into lasting impact.
