  Swara is the Founder and President of The Period Society: a non-profit which breaks the taboo surrounding menstrual and reproductive health through conducting menstrual health education sessions and providing access to menstrual health products with an emphasis on environmental sustainability to menstruators in low income and/or marginalised communities in India. They have 35+ chapters nationwide, have reached 40,000+ people through their menstrual health education sessions, and served over a million periods through their period product distribution programs which reached 25,000+ people in the long and short term.
