Women are on average more likely to be killed or seriously injured in road accidents, why is this still the case in 2024 and what can be done to rectify this systemic inequality? The discussion will include UN Secretary General's Special Envoy for Road Safety, Jean Todt, who will discuss his work in pioneering the design and distribution of the first wave of crash test dummies based on the female body

Talita is also a member of the Global Youth Security Council, a group of young professionals across different places in the world, who are joining efforts to address existential threats to the global community.

United Nations Special Envoy for Road Safety
United NationsJean Todt is the Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Road Safety since April 2015. He is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Peace Institute (IPI) and the Chairman of the SUU Foundation.
He is the former President of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), first elected to this post in October 2009 and was re-elected in 2013 and 2017 until 2021.
Between 2006 and 2009, Todt was Chief Executive Officer of Ferrari.
Prior to that, he held senior level positions overseeing racing and sporting activities at Ferrari and PSA Peugeot Citroën Group. He started his career in 1966 as a rally co-driver, which he ended in 1981, when he won the World Rally Championship for Manufacturers with a Talbot Lotus.
Todt also devotes his time to several charitable causes as one of the Founders and Vice-President of the Institut du Cerveau et de la Moelle Epinière (ICM), an institute devoted to medical research for brain and spinal cord disorders.
Todt received the Humanitarian of the Year Award by the United Nations Association of New York in 2016 and is a recipient of the Grand-croix de la Légion d’Honneur.
Born in 1946 in Pierrefort, France, Todt studied economics, business, and marketing at the Ecole des Cadres in Paris.
He has one son, a grandson, and shares his life with Oscar-winning actress, film producer and UNDP Goodwill Ambassador Michelle Yeoh.

Michael Møller is a former Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and in his last post served as Director-General of the United Nations Office in Geneva and Secretary-General of the Conference of Disarmament, and has over 40 years of experience as an international civil servant. He served as the Executive Director of the Kofi Annan Foundation from 2008 to 2011. He is now member of the Board of the Geneva Science and Diplomacy Anticipator Foundation, Senior Adviser to Macro Advisory Partners, Distinguished Fellow at the Geneva Graduate Institute in Geneva, Member of the Executive Board of the Kofi Annan Foundation, Member of the Board of One Young World, Honorary President of Art for the World, Honorary Chairman of Greycells and member of the Advisory Boards of a number of other Foundations.` Born in 1952 in Copenhagen, Denmark, Mr. Møller earned a Master’s degree in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University, United States, and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Sussex, United Kingdom.
