Reinventing our Relationship with Nature: Towards Resilient Biodiversity
In an ever-changing world, where environmental issues are becoming ever more pressing, it's imperative to rethink our relationship with nature. This panel will bring together biodiversity experts and enthusiasts to discuss current challenges and innovative solutions for preserving our planet.
We will be honored to welcome David Roy, Founder of Workshops for Biodiversity, whose work is dedicated to educating and promoting biodiversity through concrete and inspiring initiatives. Drawing on his experience, David will share his thoughts on the importance of reconnecting younger generations with nature, and implementing sustainable actions to protect our environment. Joining him will be Alexandre Beaudoin, Co-Founder and Director of Research at Eco-Pivot, who will share his expertise on local and global conservation initiatives. Nina Lantiga, President of Nets for Net Zero and Canadian Delegate to the G20 YEA, will share her perspectives on strategies for educating and raising awareness of nature conservation from a pollution perspective. Finally, Auky Gonzales Gysin, Founder of ÁCARA CLIMATE, will present innovative solutions for biodiversity conservation from an agricultural perspective. Together, these experts will offer valuable insights into how each of us can play an active role in protecting our planet.

David Roy, Managing Director of Ateliers pour la biodiversité, is fully committed to promoting the integration of biodiversity within organisations. He is convinced that greater protection of biodiversity will require all players in society to integrate it into their operations and strategies. He is also interested in questioning our relationship with nature in order to strengthen its protection. Drawing on his experience, he has led more than a hundred activities linked to the protection of biodiversity since the organisation was founded in 2023.
In addition to his responsibilities within the organisation, David holds key positions on the board of directors of the Jeune Chambre de Commerce de Montréal, Nature Québec, the Fresque de la biodiversité association and the Réseau Environnement. He has over ten years' experience in management and communications with major companies such as BDC, the Aldo Group and Tourism New Zealand. David holds a D.E.S.S. in Environment from the Université de Sherbrooke, a Certificate in Business Sustainability Management from Cambridge University and a Bachelor of Management from HEC Montréal.
