The Solution X Workshop: Designing Intersectional Solutions for Combatting Existential Threats
This workshop is focused on preventing existential threats to humanity and prioritises the voice of generations and communities most challenged and impacted by existential threats.The Global Youth Security Council leverages a comprehensive advocacy, research and policy approach to address these existential threats to humankind. Participants will explore the interconnected nature of the social, environmental, economic and geopolitical challenges facing humanity. Rather than dwelling only on existential threats, the session will focus on identifying and designing holistic, cross-cutting solutions that have the potential to create positive cascading effects across multiple fronts. Through collaborative exercises and case study discussions, attendees will develop a systems-level understanding of global issues and learn practical frameworks for crafting impactful, intersectional initiatives. Participants will leave empowered with the knowledge, tools and inspiration to contribute to a more sustainable, equitable, and peaceful future.
