Mahlaseli EnergyMatsepiso is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Mahlaseli Energy, a social enterprise that provides off-grid, pay-as-you-go solar energy, water, and sanitation solutions to communities in Lesotho. The enterprise focuses on providing affordable utilities to rural communities that may otherwise have limited access to grid electrification. As a winner of One Young World’s Lead2030 Challenge sponsored by ČEZ Group, she has received funding to solve the challenge “how can we ensure access to energy for all?” Her partnership with ČEZ Group and the Czech Development Agency allowed her to expand Mahlaseli Energy, to begin electrifying rural schools and health centres. The pilot programme serves a community of 10,000 people, and the funding has enabled Mahlaseli Energy to open an additional branch in a high-need area of Lesotho. Mahlaseli Energy has also provided job opportunities to 20 young people from different learning institutions in Lesotho

Ministry of Foreign Affairs, UruguaySofía Mascari is a Uruguayan diplomat whose dedication to fostering international cooperation was founded in her studies in International Relations, including a Master’s Degree facilitated by the UK Government’s Chevening Scholarship. After working in the Directorate of Multilateral Affairs within the Directorate-General for Political Affairs, and teaching as an Assistant Professor of International Public Law at the University of the Republic, Sofía now serves as Consul of Uruguay in Gualeguaychú, Argentina. A defining moment in her career was her participation in the One Young World Summit 2019 in London, an experience that not only strengthened her commitment to international cooperation but also contributed greatly to her professional and personal growth.

AiXistAs the Co-Founder and Director of AiXist, the Consortium for AI & Existential Risks, Kolfinna is building a future where AI is harnessed for positive global impact and stability rather than endangering humanity. Her consortium brings together experts, organisations, and other stakeholders to collectively address the existential risks AI poses in nuclear, biological, and autonomous weapons. It does this by hosting workshops, panel discussions, and global events, many of which are free and open to the public. Kolfinna also serves as a Senior Adviser at the Icelandic Centre for Research, where she leads the European Digital Innovation Hub in Iceland, supporting organisations navigating digital challenges through digitalisation. Furthermore, Kolfinna is a board member of the Future Studies Management Group at Stjórnvísi, the largest management association in Iceland, and was a finalist in the Rising Star category of the Nordic Women in Tech Awards 2025. She previously attended the One Young World Belfast Summit 2023 as a Leading Scholar, after which she was selected as the Co-Chair of the Global Youth Security Council on Existential Threats, supported by the InterAction Council.

One Young WorldLahna leads One Young World’s Community engagement and acitvities in Canada and the USA. She is originally from Lansing, Michigan, and attended college at the University of North Carolina, Wilmington and studied abroad in Marseille, France. Lahna graduated from the UNCW Cameron School of Business with Bachelor of Science Degrees in International Business and Operations Management, minoring in French and Political Science. Lahna began her career in NYC as a portfolio manager. Over her career in finance, she has covered commodities, entertainment finance and sponsor finance. Lahna advocates for the business case of 'finance for good' focusing on the intersectionality of compassion and business. She provides management consulting services to startup companies and nonprofit organisations.
