A&O ShermanBaris Koca (born 1992, The Hague) is a senior corporate M&A lawyer at A&O Shearman in Amsterdam. Of Turkish-Kurdish heritage and educated in law at Leiden University and Peking University, he pairs cross-border legal expertise with an unwavering commitment to social impact. Baris is a driving force behind his firm’s pro bono, education and DE&I programmes and has spearheaded the partnership with One Young World since 2018. Beyond his practice, he lectures on human rights and champions diversity, ethical leadership and equitable access to education.
