Educating Students to Shape AI: An Ambassador Masterclass

Hear from Dora Palfi, an innovative education leader and One Young World Ambassador, about the need for universal tech education and how you can play a role in shaping inclusive AI. Dora will share reflections on AI’s risks, especially for young people and marginalised groups, and advocate for teaching foundational skills. Her organisation, imagi labs, is a shining example of scaling impact as a member of the One Young World Community.

As Co-Founder and CEO of Imagi, Dora is reimagining computer science education for the age of AI — preparing young people with the technical skills, confidence, and community they need to thrive in an AI-driven world. Imagi’s tools are designed to be inclusive, ensuring that those typically underrepresented in technology, such as girls, are engaged and empowered, while being accessible to and impactful for all children. Dora received a degree in Neuroscience with a Minor in Computer Science from New York University Abu Dhabi, before studying Human-Computer Interaction at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. It was whilst studying in Stockholm in 2018 that Dora established Imagi with her co-founder, Beatrice, after leading a user-centred design research project. In recognition of her exceptional leadership and impact, Dora and Imagi were selected as a Lead2030 Challenge Winner by Deloitte, receiving funding to tackle the challenge: How do we prepare 100 million futures for a world of opportunity? Dora is attending her second One Young World Summit, after speaking on stage in 2022 during the Gender Equality plenary.
