Onside LawHarriet has a broad legal practice across corporate, commercial, and non-contentious regulatory matters. Harriet’s core practice is corporate law advising clients across the sports and media sectors, from start-ups to listed companies on all aspects of corporate law (including company set up, M&A, investments, shareholder and joint venture arrangements). Harriet acts for many governing bodies and international federations on a range of issues and has been on secondment to the BHA, the WRU and World Sailing. More recently she has developed a specialism in restructuring and emerging sporting properties and sports governance and has particular experience drafting participation agreements, constitutional documents, operating/working together agreements and rules and regulations. Recent highlights include advising the ECB on the sale of its eight teamcos participating in The Hundred, England Netball on the restructure of the Netball Super League ahead of its relaunch in 2025 and Six Nations on its joint venture with SANZAAR to deliver the Nations Cup. Harriet chairs the Women’s Sport practice group and is Head of Women’s Football working with women’s football clubs across WSL and WSL2 including London City Lionesses as well as men’s football clubs who are decoupling their women’s club and new rightsholders in this space including World Sevens Football. Harriet took home the Contribution of Services in Women’s Sport award at the Everything In Sport Awards 2023. Harriet co-authored the UK chapter in Chambers & Partners Global Practice Guide “Sports Law” and regularly speaks at sports industry events and hosts Onside’s New Era for Women’s Sport Series.

Georgia Stanway is an English footballer who plays as a midfielder for FC Bayern Munich and the England national team. Stanway previously played for Manchester City, making her senior debut for City as a 16-year-old and left the club as their all-time top goal scorer. Georgia has a long list of accolades; in 2016, she was nominated for BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year and in 2017, she was nominated for PFA Women’s Young Player of the Year. In June 2018, Georgia was named in the UEFA Women’s Champions League squad of the season and in 2019, she was awarded PFA Women’s Young Player of the Year. In 2020 Georgia was selected to represent Team GB at the Tokyo Olympics. A key cog in England’s EURO 2022-winning team with her dynamic performances from midfield, Georgia proved to be one of the stars of the tournament on home soil. She scored a stunning winner against Spain in the quarter-final to send the Lionesses hurtling towards the title and started all six games for Sarina Wiegman’s side. Georgia also played a key role in guiding the Lionesses to their first World Cup Final the following summer, scoring the only goal in a crucial opening match against Haiti and playing almost every minute on England’s route to a historic final. After a stellar year which also saw Georgia win the Frauen Bundesliga and be named Bayern Munich’s Player of the Year, she was nominated for the prestigious Ballon d’Or and the FIFA FIFPro Women’s Best XI. Georgia completed the Euros double this summer by becoming a European Champion with the Lionesses for a second time, again starting in all six games throughout the tournament in Switzerland and scoring twice. Georgia is a genuine talent, now widely acknowledged as one of the best players in the world. She has an infectious and cheeky personality but is not afraid to speak out with authority on issues affecting women in sport and football. Coming from the Lake District, she enjoys spending time in the outdoors and adores animals, fashion and food. Since moving to Germany, Georgia has discovered a passion for tattooing. She’s now licensed in Germany and has built a close relationship with a well-known tattoo studio, where she regularly hones her skills. She now has over 100 tattoos herself. At home you’ll find her listening to music, gaming or building LEGO.
