  Yousra Abdelmoneim is a Chartered Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor with nearly 10 years of experience at PwC, where she is now a Director specialising in assurance for major infrastructure and capital projects. After attending the 2018 One Young World Summit, Yousra was inspired by a story she heard about supporting refugees in the Netherlands. On returning to the UK, she co-founded PwC’s Refugee Outreach Programme. The initiative helps refugees build professional careers by equipping refugees with practical skills through “Working in the UK” training; covering CV writing, interview preparation and insights into the UK labour market. It challenges perceptions and building awareness across PwC through campaigns, Refugee Week events, and storytelling to promote refugee inclusion and give refugees a voice and platform. Finally, the programme creates tailored mentoring relationships by pairing refugees with PwC professionals, helping them navigate career pathways and professional integration. Through this work, Yousra combines her professional expertise with her passion for inclusion, creating pathways for refugees to access meaningful employment and thrive in their new communities.
