Earlier roles include Head Performance Platform & Tools, where she built an Analytics Center of Excellence and delivered executive dashboards supporting post-merger synergies worth over 1 billion CHF, and positions in operational performance improvement, industrial process deployment, and strategic marketing across Europe. Currently serving as Head of Smart Operations, Marjan leads the integration of Holcim’s “Plants of Tomorrow” program within the Cement Excellence Manufacturing function, ensuring that digital technologies are fully embedded into daily operations. His work focuses on strengthening Operational Technology, enhancing Advanced Process Control systems, and driving predictive maintenance initiatives. Previously, as Head of Industrial IT, Marjan played a central role in Holcim’s decarbonization efforts, overseeing IT/OT convergence, operational technology, and data-driven decision-making. Throughout his career, he has advanced through roles including Industrial Applications Manager, Process Automation Expert, and Lead Automation Engineer, consistently driving innovation in automation, machine learning applications, and digital transformation. Marjan’s expertise spans Industry 4.0, AI, program and portfolio management, operational technology, IT/OT convergence, and cross-functional leadership, making him a key figure in advancing smart, efficient, and sustainable operations in the cement industry.
